Detailed Itineraries

Upon your arrival at the New Delhi airport, a representative from Nature Safari will greet you and transport you to your hotel. They will assist you in a seamless check-in process, providing any necessary paperwork for your trip. Spend the night at the hotel in New Delhi.

In the early morning, a representative from Nature Safari will meet you at the hotel and take you to the airport for a 0650 hrs flight to Raipur. Upon arrival at Raipur airport, our representative/driver will be waiting for you outside with a name card. You will be transferred to Kanha National Park, covering a distance of 200 km, which takes approximately 4 hours by road. Upon reaching, the lodge team will extend a warm welcome and assist you with the check-in process. A team member will then provide an orientation of both the lodge and the National Park. After lunch, embark on a jeep safari within the National Park.

Explore the picturesque meadows of Kanha National Park, where herds of deer graze peacefully. The park’s moist deciduous forest ensures it retains some moisture, even in the face of summer temperatures reaching 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. Tall Sal trees with a dense canopy provide shade for the diverse wildlife.

The park underwent a transformation approximately thirty years ago when villages were relocated from its central section, giving rise to expansive grasslands. What was once a children’s playground is now a prime herbivore feeding ground. Notably, the Park management team has achieved a conservation milestone by reintroducing the Hard Ground Barasingha (Rucervus duvaucelli branderi) from nearly extinct numbers, boosting the current population to over 800 individuals.

As the safari concludes with the sunset, upon your return to the lodge, a team will be ready with cold towels and refreshing drinks to welcome you. In the evening, immerse yourself in captivating stories shared by your naturalist, recounting various experiences. Dinner will be served at a distinctive venue, offering you a diverse dining experience in the wild. Spend the night at the lodge in Kanha National Park, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the wilderness.

The Pench National Park offers an exciting itinerary with morning and afternoon jeep safaris, complemented by meals and overnight stays at the resort. Encompassing a vast expanse of 758 sq. km, this Southern Indian tropical moist deciduous forest seamlessly transitions into the tropical dry deciduous teak.

A network of seasonal streams and ‘nallahs’ crisscrosses the region, adding to its natural allure. Despite the Pench River drying up by the end of April, essential water sources persist in the form of local ‘dohs,’ serving as vital watering holes for the diverse wildlife. The Pench Reservoir, centrally located, becomes the primary water source during the dry period, attracting a concentration of prey and making it an ideal location for tiger sightings.

While tigers often hunt near the Pench River, leopards tend to roam the peripheral areas, occasionally venturing into the deep forest. The open sites along roadsides and riverbanks witness frequent grazing by Cheetal and Sambar, creating picturesque scenes. Jackals roam freely throughout the park in search of sustenance, while packs of wild dogs, numbering up to 15 or more, can be observed in specific areas like Chhedia, Jamtara, Bodanala, and Pyorthadi.

In the summer months, herds of gaur can be spotted near streams and bamboo patches, adding to the diverse wildlife spectacle. Sloth bears, preferring rocky terrain and mahul bel-infested forests, occupy distinct niches within the park. Chinkaras, although present in minimal numbers, can also be glimpsed in open areas, completing the mosaic of Pench National Park’s rich biodiversity.

Embark on your day with an early start before sunrise, setting out for a safari within the National Park. As you navigate through the heart of the forest, the naturalist will provide a packed breakfast at a scenic point in the open, atop a jeep bonnet. After enjoying your breakfast, continue the exploration, searching for wildlife amidst the lush surroundings.

Kanha boasts a rich diversity of approximately 35 mammal species, including key inhabitants like the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, dhole, sloth bear, Bengal fox, Indian jackal, and more. The Barasingha, adapted to marshy habitats, thrives in the park’s grasslands, while the gaur finds refuge around waterholes. In the Kanha Meadows zone, blackbuck are concentrated, adding to the park’s diverse mammalian population.

The avian residents of Kanha add to its allure, with around 300 different bird species gracing the reserve. Notable sightings include the black ibis, Asian green bee-eater, cattle egret, blossom-headed parakeet, Indian pond heron, drongo, common teal, crested serpent eagle, Indian roller, lesser adjutant, little grebe, lesser whistling teal, minivet, Malabar pied hornbill, woodpeckers, pigeons, paradise flycatcher, and many more. Immerse yourself in the vibrant birdlife that paints the skies of Kanha.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Kanha National Park.

Embark on another thrilling jeep safari in the National Park this morning, making the most of your exploration in this diverse and captivating wilderness. Despite having enjoyed six safaris, the National Park continues to unfold its wonders, and every adventure holds the promise of unique encounters with wildlife. After the safari, return and indulge in a hearty lunch.

Post-lunch, bid farewell to the lodge, carrying with you cherished memories of an incredible tiger safari and the warm camaraderie of those around the lodges and the park. The entire team will join together to bid you a fond farewell. Journey towards your next destination, a place renowned for the highest density of Tigers in Central India – Bandhavgarh National Park. Upon arrival, the lodge team will be ready to extend a warm welcome. Your naturalist will offer an orientation, providing information for the safaris scheduled for the following day.

Conclude your day with dinner and spend the night at the lodge in Bandhavgarh, eagerly anticipating the adventures that lie ahead.

Similar to Kanha, the safari timing remains unchanged in Bandhavgarh. Commence your day early, preparing for the safari to secure a place among the first few vehicles in the queue. Bandhavgarh is renowned for the highest number of Tiger sightings, and your naturalist, armed with extensive knowledge, will guide you through the park. He will share insights into animal behavior and regale you with stories about different creatures encountered during your journey.

Situated in the Vindhya Hills of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park boasts a core area of 716 square kilometres and a buffer area of approximately 820 square kilometres. The park’s diverse topography encompasses high ridges, undulating terrain, lush forests, and open meadows. Explore the famous Chakradhara and Rajhbhera meadows in the Tala Zone, where herds of deer graze peacefully. Return to the lodge after the morning jeep safari, where the team awaits with wet towels and refreshing drinks to welcome you back.

After lunch, embark on another jeep safari within the National Park. Once the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Rewa, the park features irregular topography, with rocky hill ranges running roughly east to west, interspersed with green wetlands and woodland valleys. Bandhavgarh’s varied vegetation, ranging from tall grasslands to dense Sal forests and bamboo thickets, provides an ideal habitat for a diverse array of animals and birds. The park offers ample opportunities to witness the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, as well as elusive creatures like the Leopard and Sloth Bear, owing to its varied topography.

After a rewarding safari, return to the lodge at sunset. Dinner will be served in a different venue, enhancing your experience of being immersed in the ambiance of Jungle lodges.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Bandhvgarh National Park.

Embark on a final morning jeep safari within the National Park, cherishing the best moments both in the wilderness and at the lodge. After the safari, proceed to check-out from the lodge, where the entire team will bid you a fond farewell. Your driver will be ready to transport you to Jabalpur to catch a flight to New Delhi.

Upon arrival at the New Delhi airport, a team member from our side will meet you, providing assistance for a smooth check-in at the hotel. Allow us to ensure your comfort as you conclude your memorable wildlife adventure and transition back to the bustling city.
