Safaris At Kanha National Park

1. Jeep Safaris

Kanha National Park conducts two types of jeep safaris. A full day safari and a half day safari.

Bandhavgarh National Park

Half Day Jeep safaris

Half-day jeep safaris are divided into morning and evening sessions. Morning safaris typically commence at approximately 0600 hours, adjusting to sunrise timings, and run for approximately 4.5-5 hours. Following the morning safari, guests return to their lodge or resort. Here, they can freshen up, enjoy a quick lunch, take some relaxation time, and subsequently venture back into the jungle for the evening safari. The evening safari spans around 3-3.5 hours, adapting to sunset schedules. After the evening safari, guests return to their lodge for dinner, concluding the day with leisurely activities in the evening.

Full Day Jeep safaris

A full-day jeep safari offers a unique experience, allowing your vehicle to enter the national park 15-20 minutes ahead of other safari vehicles. Throughout the day, you immerse yourself in the park, even enjoying lunch amidst the forest’s serene wilderness. When the evening safari ends and all other jeeps have exited the park, you leave 15 minutes later.

This type of safari is particularly rewarding during pleasant months like October, November, or the latter part of February and March. It is especially popular among professional photographers tracking specific wildlife species or documentarians aiming to film particular families within the national park.

2. Walking Safaris
